I'm a junior developer with workplace experience as a front-end and full stack web applications developer, as well as a growing amount of personal experience through personal and contracted projects. I'm always trying to expand and improve my programming repertoire through continued education, and production of the best possible product within my capabilities. My interest in all things computers have kept me motivated to continue learning and to pursue a career as a developer. I feel that if I am pointed in the right direction, I can be an asset to any development team.

Currently I am working as a solo front-end developer for an Ottawa based development shop named Red Rabbit where we create tailored web applications specific to the requirements of our clients. Whether it is a simple brochure site or a 500-page intricate multi-layered interactive structure, we provide web development services no matter the size or complexity of the project.

Reference Letter

My time as a coop student with the Government of Canada taught me a lot about how team-based web development operates in the workplace. From learning how to efficiently be part of a team, to submitting my code for review, I acquired many skills that I will carry through the rest of my career. The majority of the work consisted of developing functionality for different web applications using the Spring Boot framework and Angular.

Being my first contracted project, the static website for ED² gave me an opportunity to expand and improve my front-end design and scripting ability. The project has two main use cases, the first being a portfolio for multimedia projects and the second as an inquiry tool to automatically email the product owner.

The second of my private contracts with Relay Academy is similar to that of ED². Because of this, the website for Relay Academy gave me the opportunity to re-evaluate my own programming techniques and improve on Javascript best practices. Relay Academy only has one use case, being to take inquiries from the user and automatically email it to the product owner.

Website for Relay Academy - "Relay Academy is a Toronto-based consultancy specializing in Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementation, technical strategy, campaign management, and data-driven journeys."

Website for ED² - "ED² is a Toronto-based multimedia production team which has produced a wide array of media content for clients such as The South Riverdale Community Health Centre, House of VR, and CReATe Fertility Centre, and many others."

Terraformer (Game Project) - This is a clip of a voxel mesh game that I am currently developing in Unity, with the assets being provided by ED² (The current assets are testing assets). The game is inspired by many of the games I personally enjoy and has given me an outlet to learn more about game development.
